An attractive gilt and enamel badge which shows the crest of the city of Dundee, 29mm in diameter. It is engraved with 37/2 and has the maker's details on the reverse Rattray, Dundee. It also has an extra loop mounted on it for a safety chain (the safety chain is no longer present). WW1 - 1914 Buckinghamshire / Bucks VDC / VTC Volunteer Defence Corps Bronze Cap Badge
A small bronze badge depicting a swan, with a coronet around its neck with chain with a tablet below inscribed " Bucks VDC 1914 ". The swan was the ancient badge of the de Bohun family from whence it passed to the Stafford Dukes of Buckingham. Circa 3cm tall with two small original twisted copper wire loops to the reverse. Scarce.
