A scarce and early lapel badge with the arms of the County of Northumberland, England within a black circlet. Backstamped with the issue number "717". Circa 3.3cm in diameter. Some minor wear to the red enamel. The yellow stripes are painted rather than enamel (and has some damage - see photos). A real "economy feel" to it. WW2 ROF (Royal Ordnance Factory) Front Line Duty Printed Cloth Overalls Badge
Removed from overalls, a good worn example with folded over edges, some now a bit frayed and lifting and some stitching marks, and a bit grubby. Of Calico Printers manufacture.

WW2 British Forces Kings Badge for Loyal Service, Normal and Miniature Patterns
Introduced in 1941, circa 26mm and 18mm in diameter respectively struck in white metal, the smaller one has more of a chrome finish. The King's Badge was awarded to British Forces personnel who had been invalided out of the services during WW2 and were entitled to a war disablement pension. They were both unnamed and unnumbered.
