Malay Regiment Gilt Officers Cap Badge, adopted 1933
A gilt die cast cap badge on two original loops. Circa 39mm tall by 27mm wide. Slight twisting to loops and dulling to the gilt finish otherwise in good condition.
This was a two battalion force which fought well in the doomed defence of Singapore. After Japan's defeat it was revived and by the time of Independence in 1957 was seven battalions strong.

In excellent condition, gilt in amazing condition, very slight wear to tiger's heads, this is a good stiff badge with sharp detail and with two original lugs to the reverse (minor bending). Quite large at circa 55mm by 43mm. Scarce.

Of two part bi metal cast metal matched and facing collar badges of riveted construction, Gilt in lovely bright condition with riveted silver plated overlay, with two original loops to the reverse. Malayan Federation Armoured Car Regiment Officer's cap badge, worn pre 1960
A scarce gilt and silver plated example on original loops. Exceptionally fine quality and delicate design, certainly not a mass produced item. Circa 3.6cms wide and 3.7cms tall. Crossed Kris on a horseshoe with mailed fist and engraved title scroll (there was an earlier pattern which lacked the horseshoe but was considered too delicate). Rare.

Scarce Federation of Malaya Home Guard / National Service Badge, circa 1948 - 1957
An other ranks die-cast in brass with two original lugs to the reverse. These were worn by the local HG villagers armed with shotguns etc, and the badge was worn on their everyday clothes.
