WW1 Two Rare Preprinted Field Service India Message Postcards for use by Indian Troops at the Front - Hindi
A rare pair of two patterns, one has an army number form A.F. A2042 D (Hindi). The script to the reverse of each is pre-printed Hindi script. No doubt one of my Indian customers will provide us all with a translation! In poor condition and stained. However, not something you come across everyday, and reminds us all of the part played by India on the Western and Eastern Fronts.

A spiffing looking photo in gloss black and white, large format at 10 inches by 8 inches. The reverse has information about the photo attached to the reverse. Original WW1 silk printed cigarette card, paper backed with details of regiment to reverse. In very good condition, may have minor age spots and light marking. No 23 of a set of 108 different cards distributed by a number of different cigarette manufacturers entitled "Crests & Badges of the British Army". Thought to have been issued by British American Tobacco in 1915.

Mid Victorian Royal Navy Officer Cabinet Photograph, Southsea Photographer
An original sepia full length portrait of a Royal Naval officer of the civil branch, either a Fleet Paymaster or Fleet Surgeon judging from the three equal rings on his cuff.
