Manchester Regiment Other Ranks White Metal Collar Badge, Right Facing
An early nearly shaped (for the high neck tunic collar?) and die struck pattern with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. In very good condition with sharp detail. Worn by the Manchester Regiment from 1897 to 1914. Churchill claims this was, despite being a female sphinx, also worn by the South Wales Borderers for a period of time.

Royal Irish Fusiliers ( RIF) Pair of Princess Victorias Coronet White Metal Collar Badges
A close match, this pair of white metal coronets have two original dark toned lugs to the reverse of each. Worn from 1888, usually horizontally in combination with the grenade collar badge, with the coronet worn nearest the collar open. grenade badges not present.
In good condition and an earlier issue by the colouration of the lugs.
