HCB - Highland Cyclist Battalion Brass Shoulder Title
A standalone title often found with a T above, but this one if it ever had one has been very skillfully removed as was often the case in WW1. Two original loops and maker marked to the reverse JR Gaunt London. Scarce.

A small title (the second photo compares it to the standard other ranks title). Perhaps officer issue, red cross or a part title for some of the smaller titles worn by the Territorial battalions or cadets (see Westlake Nos 1102 - 1119 inclusive) but with separate letters and /or numerals above. Circa 4.1cms wide and 0.9cms tall.
