Die cast flat backed collar badge with two original D shaped loops. Some damage to the numeral two on the front otherwise in good overall condition. Circa 28mm tall.
According to Cox, Private George Price of this Battalion was the last allied soldier to fall in the Great War, being killed in action near Mons at 10.50 a.m. on the 11th November 1918.

In a small blue card box, maker marked CIL (Canadian Industries Limited). Looks like the name of recipient has been tipexed over. Cotton wool protects the badge inside. A lovely die cast bronze example with two original loops (north-south) and some red felt cloth backing. This is very tightly fitted so I have not attempted to remove it for fear of tearing it, it looks old too. I have peaked behind this and there are no maker marks. Circa 4.5cms tall.
