Die struck example with original and functional pin fittings. Circa 28mm in diameter. Minor service wear otherwise in very good condition. Worn circa 1939 - 1962.
The design is of a springbok head tracing left within a circle inscribed with the initial letters S.A.M.N.S. (English) and S.A.M.V.D. (Afrikaans). As worn on the coat lapel.

The die stamped sheet brass cap badge depicts a female figure with an anchor, Two original copper wire lugs are present on the reverse. The badge measures circa 43 tall x 33 mm wide. Lack of detail due to the nature of the stamping. but scarce to find with its loops intact.

A cast brass shoulder title with two original copper loops to the reverse. Has seen some service wear but in good condition. As worn in WW1 but they also strayed into wear during WW2 when the corps was reformed. A regiment of two battalions which saw service outside of South Africa.

South Africa - 4th Mounted Rifles Sun Hat / Slouch Hat Badge / Shoulder Title
Die cast in brass with two original loops. Cox states this title was worn as a regimental flash on the side of the helmet. In very good condition. Scarce.
Fought in the German South African campaign during WW1 as part of the 8th Mounted Brigade. Formed by the amalgamation of the Umvoti Mounted Rifles and the Zululand Mounted Rifles.

South Africa - Kaffrarian Rifles Officer's Pagri Badge
A good scarce die cast silver plate example worn circa 1902-1914. Red cloth backing to centre now pretty much absent but has a stout pagri pin with C clasp to the reverse. In very good condition with sharp detail.
