This unit was 12th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1819.

WW2 War Raised Unit - 23rd Hussars Bi-Metal Cap Badge - with reinforcing bar
In tip top bright unissued condition with original slider, strengthening bar to reverse of crown and sweat / braising expansion holes to rear. Die struck with sharp detail and of exceptional quality. This is pattern of manufacture is attributed to JR Gaunt & Sons, but unmarked (the lettering to the reverse of the scroll is the reverse image of the word "Hussars").
