A set of three, small pattern, circa 1 cm square. Lightly stuck to a piece of tape, but easy to remove. Good condition and scarce. Worn by an officer in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers (RRF) but probably suitable for many other regiments. Unfortunately this is all that I have.

Highland Light Infantry (HLI) Lieutenant Colonel Officers Mess Dress Epaulette with Bullion Devices
A stunning item, cut from uniform of the commanding officer, in very good condition with only a few marks to the white backing felt and no damage to the bullion devices. Traces of bluetack to the reverse and somebody has annotated it in pen on the reverse as HLI.

WW1 Single Bullion on Khaki Wound Stripe
The award of a wound stripe to a soldier was introduced in July 1916 it entitled the man to wear a two inch Russian gold bullion braid sewn to the left sleeve of a jacket, as this proved very hard to keep clean and shiny solid brass stripes replaced them, this indicates that this example is from early on in the Great War. Introduced in 1879 and withdrawn from wear in 1909 (I can confirm this for definite as I have a sealed pattern of this item in my own collection and it has been annotated as such). Two rifle green light infantry pattern backed felt officer's pips sewn on to a khaki cloth slip on, circa 12.5cm long and 7cm wide at widest point. The KSLI title is cast circa 4.5cm long and 1.1cm tall. With two original tomb shaped lugs to the reverse with split pin. Unusual fixings. No moth or damage.
