The Victorian pattern cap badge with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. Some signs of service wear - one foot of the white metal star slightly lifted from its securing tab on the brass scroll - and especially to the loops, but in good overall condition. As worn until 1902 when the badge was corrected to include Nottinghamshire.

The Loyal Regiment (North Lancashire) (47th & 81st Foot) Victorian Issue Other Ranks Bi-Metal Cap Badge
A very good striking with all the fiddly bits present and correct and two original dark toned loops to the reverse. Worn circa 1897 to 1901 with a Victorian crown and to 1921 with a King's Imperial Crown. The badge changed to a new pattern with the scroll altered to read "The Loyal Regiment".

Victorian issue first pattern castle (regimental pattern) and longer key turned towards the right. Worn pre 1901. This example with an original slider rather than lugs, presumably for wear on the Brodrick Cap. Some signs of service wear but in good condition.
