WW1 Memorial Scroll in Original Addressed Cardboard Tube - Driver George Henry Richards, Royal Field Artillery (RFA) Territorials
A scarce complete tube containing its original scroll. I have had to photograph the scroll behind a plastic sheet to keep it flat given its propensity to want to curl back up. Original Full Size Khedive's Star dated 1882 - Egyptian War
With correct 37mm (replacement) ribbon and original suspension clasp. Bronze has a light patina from wear or polishing, but detail still sharp. Some minor edge bruising to a few star tips visible from the reverse only.
Made by Jenkins of Birmingham, issued unnamed and conferred by Khedive Tewfik of Egypt on those British soldiers and sailors who qualified for the Egypt Medal.... read more

Silver medallion (unmarked) with link for suspension in original fitted case with maker’s details: “F. Phillips, Medallist, Aldershot”.
Obverse: St George and the Dragon under a scroll banner with the motto “Quo Fata Vocant”
Reverse: Centre engraved “Winner Fus. Smith 130-140lbs”. With Fifth Fusiliers above and laurel wreath around.

Correctly impressed, with replacement ribbon, GVF condition. Copy of MIC medal card and SWB roll entry will be supplied. Entitled to 1914-15 Trio and Silver War Badge numbered B153932, discharged in February 1919 surplus to military requirements (having suffered impairment since entry into the service (para xvia)).

Blue linen covered book with gilt Board of Trade badge. Internal cover named to "Barton A G". Served as a steward on board SS Megantic from 10/6/1913 - 21/4/1915 sailing to New York and Montreal from Liverpool.

Made to commemorate the Airborne Operation Market Garden in 1994 by Spink & Son London. Some discoloration to the light blue plush inner liner where exposed to the atmosphere otherwise in very good condition.
