Uncommon 1939 ARP clasp knife by the Davenport Cutlery Company of Sheffield, rather than the more commonly encountered examples by George Gill & Sons of Sheffield. Two cap badge sized stars in die struck brass with four original loops to the reverse of each. The correct seven link brass chain and hook fitting. Small ding to the centre of each star. Middlesbrough ( County Durham ) Corporation die struck white metal cap badge - almost certainly of the pattern issued to tramcar staff and worn above their script-lettering grade badges such as "Motorman". The coat of arms of Middlesbrough with a scroll below Erimus ( We Shall Be). Two original lugs to the reverse, circa 3.6cm tall.
