Flare Pistol / Gun - Relic Condition - RAF issue

An absolute monster in the hand and of considerable weight. The flare pistol was a feature of every day life in the trenches but this one looks larger than those found as issued to the British Army with a 1.5 inch muzzle. Historical Bronze Old Penny sized Medallion commemorating the Gigantic Wheel at Earls Court London in 1897

I have lightened the photos on this dark toned item so you can see the detail. Forerunner of the London Eye. This gigantic wheel was 284 feet in diameter and weighed 900 tons. it had 40 cars each capable of carrying 30 people and one could see Windsor castle from the top. All of this detail is on the reverse. Milled rim. Generally good condition.
