A scarce post 1952 WVS Civil Defence chromium plate and enamel badge bearing a Queen's Crown, the reverse with maker's details "Marples & Beasley, Birmingham". Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example. Please excuse the flash, the badge is very shiney. Scarce 25 Year National Savings Medal award on card of issue - Essex
Card in poor "as found" condition, but named to Mr C.A. Simmons of Squirrels Heath County Junior School of the Eastern Region (The school is located in Romford, Essex and still there today). The savings badge is in great condition with what looks to be a silver plated 25 year bar. This suggests a saver who started in the 1940s who was awarded a bar in the mid 1960s. read more
