Removed from uniform. A glue patch to the reverse otherwise in good condition. The sign depicts King Arthur's sword Excalibur, which was not surprisingly mainly composed of battalions from West Country regiments.

Circa 4.5cm tall and 5cm wide. Red silk embroidered on a dark blue cotton background, the design, a wheel with an arrow through it. Removed from uniform, folded but bright and in very good condition.

A woven example in the form of an inverted isosceles triangle with the apex squared off, on which a black aircraft (Dornier bomber) flying upwards is pierced by a red sword, the tip of which protrudes from the nose, all on a grey ground with a black border.
