These unofficially worn Brunswick star collar badges were also worn on the forage and fatigue caps. Made in India or Egypt and worn circa 1902 onwards.

The dog gauge badge, which resembled a stirrup was used to measure the size of dogs entering the Royal Forest to protect the Royal Deer.
