A dark toned brass die struck badge with two long original loops (bent upwards but functional) and not a slider (as found on copies). A scarce genuine example of this much copied badge. Note the upright "budgie", the short sturdy claw on each owl as it clutches the shield, a proper looking sheep rather than a thin looking dog like creature seen on the copies. I have seen a Wessex Brigade Staybrite of their manufacture, but only one example and never of any other British Army Badge until encountering this one.
