In gilding metal with loops of the type suggesting of NZ manufacture, and it is the unvoided wreath pattern. In good condition. Formed in 1911 they fought at Gallipoli, Sinai and Palestine.

A yellow gilt brass metal die struck cap badge with two flat connector style loops to the reverse. Circa 5cms tall. Not as well struck as it could have been and silver solder to lugs (possibly contemporary replacements as this is usually found with flat hexagonal lugs). RD no 875 to front on either side of the NZ. Found in two sizes, 55mm tall and 40mm tall, this is the latter smaller pattern. Two original loops, maker's tablet JR Gaunt / London (slightly lifting and truncated). Die struck gilding metal example with sharp detail. All fiddly bits present and correct. Collar badges were of a different design.

Die struck gilding metal cap badge with two original loops to the reverse as well as a maker's tablet for JR Gaunt / London to reverse of the crown. Some service wear but in good overall condition. This is most probably a pre 1917 issue given the plaque.
