5th Dragoon Guards Officers Bi Metal Pouch Badge
A stunning example in silver plate and gilt with four dark toned loops to the reverse. Langridge (1959) confirms that the 5th Dragoon Guards was one of the few cavalry regiments for whom other rank pouch badges where approved. He does not mention the rules relating to officers. An early large size other ranks die struck white metal collar badge with two original loops (e-w) to the reverse (some bending to these). A skull upon a pair of crossed bones bearing the motto scroll "Or Glory". Circa 3.1cm tall and 4.1cms wide. In good condition.
