A two-piece badge with two original loops to reverse of each part and fixing pins. In very good condition. First issued on the basis of fourteen machine gunners per regiment and later to the MGC to users of the Vickers Machine Gun.

In good condition with four small original loops to the reverse.

Worn by the pioneers of Infantry regiments, typically about 11 individuals per battalion. Some wore an additional device above, Grenadier Guards and Fusilier Regiments a plain grenade, Light Infantry Regiments a bugle and the other Guards regiments had their own distinctions.
