WW2 Royal Army Chaplains' Department Enamel Cap Badge - Brooch Fitting
King's crown silver gilt and enamel die cast of two part construction cap or stole badge with pin fitting to the reverse (c clasp bent over trapping the pin). No damage to enamel. Gilt and silver plate bright. A quatrefoil to the centre of a voided circlet bearing the motto backed with blue enamel upon a Maltese cross within a crowned wreath of oak and laurel. Worn 1940 - 1952.

One piece shoulder title with three original loops to the reverse. Worn by Lowland Mounted Brigade Army Service Corps Transport and Supply Columns. Circa 1908 - 1921. A break in the title to the left side where ' Lowland' joins the A of 'ASC'. Not very noticeable from the front but condition reflected in price. Sold as seen, no returns on this item. Bought on the understanding it was worn by 59th Battery Royal Artillery (RA) as a pagri badge worn on a blue / red cloth diamond behind it on the pugarree. However I cannot substantiate this, so any information welcome.

A good match on original flat hexagonal loops to the reverse. Some wear to finish and lugs on one of them otherwise in good condition overall and scarce.
