A WWII economy plastic 'bakelite' issue kings crown cap badge, most often found with blades, but this is the much scarcer variety with a unique plastic slider fitting to the reverse,that bears makers details for 'JR&L Ltd B'Ham' (Jarrett, Rainsford & Laughton Ltd Birmingham). Very good clean condition, complete with original slider fitting, no warping, an excellent example with good lustre.

Removed from cap, a scarce king's crown bullion wire embroidered officer's cap badge, pre 1952. It depicts the figure of Mercury in silver wire above the blue backed motto scroll surmounted by the crown all on a black backing. Worn condition but overall still a good example. Circa 5.2cm tall including backing.

A scarce gilding metal second pattern king's crown RASC cap badge with the gap between the base of the crown and the garter. Sealed pattern 12th February 1949 and replaced by a Queen's crown version sealed pattern on 5th February 1953. So only worn for a limited period of time. Two original lugs to the reverse, curved to shape of cap.
