Superb quality officers field service cap bullion wire embroidered cap badge as worn on the left side of the cap. A nicely padded badge has the " MYC " monogram on a black velvet ground to the centre of an oval bearing the motto and surmounted by a Queen's crown. Scarce.

A near mint die struck gilding metal example in unissued condition but with a slider presumably for wearing on the pagri band on the tropical / sun helmet. Raised in 1902. Disbanded in 1926. Helmet badges found in a variety of metals: white metal, bronze, gilding metal and blackened.

A large and impressive other ranks quality pagri badge in cast white metal, looks to have been silver-plated, depicting a crowned quoit with a seated Chinthern to voided centre, '90' below and a scroll 'Punjabis', stout pin back with original fittings. Circa 7.2cms tall. Worn circa 1903-1922.

WW1 John V. Garbutt 19th Durhams DLI sheet brass match cover trench art
An attractive trench art brass match box cover. Some light staining and rust marks but generally good and nice item as attributed. The spine has been engraved "Arras" and the reverse has a rather good engraving of the Durham Light Infantry cap badge. The front has the soldier's name, J. Garbutt and regimental number 21/35and the battalion he was then serving with, 19th DLI.
