A die struck Victorian white metal other ranks shako badge with two long brass loops to the reverse. It comprises the Royal Crest to the centre of a Garter Strap upon a crowned multi-rayed star plate. Circa 8cm tall and 6.6cm wide. It is in very good condition with sharp detail.

A die struck white metal cap badge with two original dark toned loops to the reverse. The motto " Quocunque Jeceris Stabit " which is rather appropriate given the three legged device to the centre and translates as " whichever way you throw him he will stand ". An ornate Maltese cross with two dark toned loops to the reverse. Circa 3.5cm across. Renfrew et al in Volume 1 " British Colonial Badges " states this was the collar badge of the Royal Malta Artillery. However, in an article in M.H.S. Bulletin no.269 August 2017 by Dennis Darmanian (photo on p18) he claims this as an alternate badge as worn by the Malta Home Guard.

Malaysian National Service Home Guard badge Die-stamped chrome with painted flag Original pin back. C clasp a bit squashed but still functional otherwise in very good condition. Scarce.

Similar to No 4136 in BoBD (Jon Mills), who describes these as being made from PVC (poly-vinyl chloride) using a process of 'blowing-on' the white letters to a special background.
