Victorian Medical Staff Corps Officer's Fire Gilt Button Set
Circa 23mm and 15mm in diameter respectively. Fixed shanks and all maker marked J.W. Reynolds & Co, 50 St. Martin's Lane, London. The smaller pair most probably from cap. All in brilliant fire gilt and of a super quality. Only fault is one of the smaller buttons has a small scratch near rim. Scarce maker. Worn 1855 - 1898. From 1898 became the RAMC.

A fascinating little booklet published at the time our of darkest hour and when invasion was feared as imminent. Stapled card cover, giving pertinent information on how to spot Jerry! 7 pages with great details especially on German vehicle markings and even the German Identity disk. Which as one would expect was far superior and practical than our own issue!

White metal or silver wash finish with Amiens in gold coloured letters on scroll below town crest. Original pin and C clasp. Circa 3.5cm wide. Some wear to pin but otherwise in good condition with some minor wear to the white metal / silver finish.

Has been worn and removed from headdress. Circa 4.5cm tall, embroidered in gold, silver and red on a bottle-green backing cloth. In good overall condition given has been worn.

As worn by Sergeants and WOs on battledress only with original black leather circular backing, of two part construction with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 5cm across. Raised in 1940 and disbanded in 1947.
