There are two varieties of motto scroll, "BY DAND" and "BYDAND", this one being of the latter variety. Two original short copper loops. In very good condition with sharp detail. A good stiff badge but most probably a post WW2 issue.

Light bronze cap badge with two original loops to reverse (twisted over but still functional). Maker's tablet, JR Gaunt London to reverse. Saint George's flag superimposed on a four-pointed star. Circlet inscribed 'Efficiency is Strength'. Scroll reads 'Women's Volunteer Reserve'. Formed by the Marchioness of Londonderry.
