14th ( King's ) Hussars Other Ranks Brass Cap Badge ( 2nd Type )
Introduced in 1915, and known in the Regiment this large pattern badge was unpopular and known rather disparagingly as the 'Cartwheel' badge. Known in various sizes, voided and unvoided. This one is in good condition with its original slider. Circa 4.2cm tall.
The Regiment were amalgamated in 1922 with the 20th Hussars.

15th ( King's ) Hussars Other Ranks Bi-Metal Cap Badge
A fairly uninspired badge which carries the motto 'Merebimur' ( 'We shall be worthy'). Original slider and in very good condition, with some slight staining to reverse of slider. An all brass economy version was issued in 1916.
The regiment was amalgamated with the 19th Hussars in 1922.

16th ( The Queen's ) Lancers Other Ranks Bi-metal Cap Badge - Firmin
A great two part construction badge with six sweat / braising holes to the reverse and original slider. More of a coppery brass colour and white metal rather than yellow brass (good to know if you are trying to match up with some collar badges). Lovely condition.

The 17th ( Duke of Cambridge's Own ) Lancers Other Ranks White Metal Motto
In good condition with original slider.
The most distinctive insignia of any British cavalry regiment, the Motto as it is always referred to by those in the know, was awarded for the defeat of the French at Quebec in 1759. Die struck other rank 's cap badge comprising a circlet in white metal inscribed ' Queen Mary's Own ' surmounted by an Imperial Crown. In the centre the Roman numerals XVIII with original slider. In very good condition.

19th ( Queen Alexandra's Own Royal ) Hussars Other Ranks White Metal Cap Badge
White metal monogram 'A' entwined in a Dannebrog Cross (the Danish national device), with original hair pin slider (cut to shape of badge as was typical with this pattern). A brass economy version was issued in 1916.
The Regiment merged with the 15th Hussars in 1922 and adopted a new badge design primarily based on that of the old 15th.

20th Hussars Other Ranks Brass Metal Cap Badge
In good condition with original slider. Slider has slightly lifted on one corner, but is still strong and functional. There is nothing one can say of any merit about the design of this badge.
In 1922, the Regiment merged with the 14th Hussars, and this badge was consigned to history.
