A delicately cast example of the Chinthe with two original loops to the reverse and of Indian manufacture. Circa 3.9cms tall. This pattern believed to have been worn from 1937 - 1939. See my item 68169 for the later pattern. Scarce.

An attractive badge, cast and silver plated with two original loops to the reverse. It depicts the head of an urial ram, a wild sheep of Western Asia with the scroll below bearing the unit title, surmounted by a King's crown. Circa 4.2cms tall. A flat backed example in white metal (possibly silver plated) with two original integral loops to reverse. Theatre cast. See my item 68108 for an officer's cap badge.

This pattern was introduced in 1945 and worn until 1956. After Independence the Regiment was transferred to Pakistan.
