A WW1 period item as worn by medical orderlies of the Royal Army Medical Corps, circa 6cms in diameter. Slight moth graze to yellow ring and minor edge nibbles to black backing circlet otherwise in good condition and has some age to it. According to the authors below, it was worn from circa 1881 (when the Army Hospital Corps) until about 1930, when its use was dropped.
