Burma - Southern Shan States (SSS) Military Police Cap Badge, 1904 - 1942
Cast white metal which has been silver plated with two original lugs to the reverse. The letters SSS interspaced between crossed Gurkha kukri knifes beneath a King's Crown. As is found with every genuine examples of this badge, the final "S" is truncated. Circa 3.2cm wide and 3.5cm tall.

1st/7th Gurkha Rifles - Dashera Invitation Card to Headcutting of Buffaloes and Goats Sacrificial Ceremony, 1949
A scarce and revealing invitation for those who were unaware of this Gurkha custom, a bit gruesome, but tradition is tradition! Subedar Major Rukman Limbu was awarded the MBE in 1954. A copy of his recommendation for this Honour will be included with the card. The card is in good condition for age and not something you come across every day!
