WW2 Women's Land Army ( WLA ) Timber Corps Woven Cash Tapes Style Shoulder Title

Sewn to a thin khaki coloured material, looks like a shirt / blouse fabric. Appears to have been made by the same manufacturer of Royal Marine Cash style shoulder titles. The title (excluding the cloth backing) is 6.5cm by 1.2cm. Not often encountered. Timber Corps items are scarce in any event.

Left facing. Removed from uniform but in good overall condition.

Initially fought in Tunisia as part of 1st Army, through Italy as part of the 8th Army and also with 15th Army Group. At the war end was renumbered 1st Armoured Division.

'Ike' - American General Eisenhower reviews a smart looking British army regular battalion (most probably DCLI)

Top brass (RAF ) accompany American General Dwight D. ( Ike ) Eisenhower as he inspects a fine looking body of troops. Not sure which regiment. Post WW2 photo / postcard with blank reverse. In very good condition. Pre 1953. Later the 34th President of the USA.

A quality UK made yellow brass metal die struck cap badge with two original brass lugs to the reverse (east-west). Circa 5.9cm tall. Battle honour for Afghanistan. Worn 1882 - 1885 only (according the IMHS J.Chappell collection listing). Rare.

74th Regiment of Foot (Later 2nd Battalion The Highland Light Infantry) Other Ranks Pewter Opened Back Button

In excavated condition missing shank, circa 21.5mm in diameter. Some crud stuck to reverse so unable to see whether there were any maker marks. Some loss of detail and definition to front but the crown, elephant, numeral '74' and battle honour 'Assaye' still very much discernable. Apparently recovered from the wreak of HMS Birkinhead.
