A rare officer's Roman numeral large pattern shoulder title in gilt brass with two original loops to the reverse. Only minor signs of service wear and in very good condition. This pattern only worn until 1908 when replaced by XIXRH.

Circa 16mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked Firmin London. Gilt bright, slight wear to highpoints of crown otherwise in super condition. Worn circa 1855 - 1881. In 1881, the unit was amalgamated with the 41st Foot to become the 2nd Battalion, the Welsh Regiment.
