In good overall condition with two of two dark toned loops to the reverse. The bugle and garter pattern was replaced in 1895 with the plate with four stars. Worn by the volunteer units which did not have a specific design. Instead they identified themselves from the initials of their corps worked in white worsted on the shoulder straps.
