WW2 Embroidered Bullion Chief Petty Officer ( CPO ) Royal Navy Peaked Cap badge, King 's Crown

White metal anchor to centre, bullion in good condition. has been worn and curved to a jaunty shape to fit cap (stiffened into this shape). No moth. Original waxed black cotton backing. Circa 7cm tall and 5cm wide at crown. Pre 1952. Blue jewel to centre of band of crown indicates this is a post 1920 issue.

WW1 Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) Armoured Car Section Collar / Lapel Badge

A scarce bronzed collar badge with two original loops (slight verdigris to reverse of one loop). As worn by the R.N.A.S. Armoured Car Section during WW1 from 1916 onwards. It depicts an Armoured Car to the centre of a crowned oval. Circa 4.1cm wide and 4.7cm tall. In superb condition for age, with its original bronze patina.

Removed from uniform. The paper packing cloth is unusual in that it reveals the makers name, 'Gwendyr Make' which suggests a Welsh manufacturer. A search on line shows they made items high quality embroidered items for the US forces stationed in the UK during WW2 and well as items for the Royal Navy and RAF both during and after WW2. WW2 24th Independent Guards Brigade Group Woven Cloth Formation Sign Flash Patch Badge

Slight nip to top edge, but in unissued condition complete with original black paper backing. Light blue thread detailing to the red pinion (wing) on a dark blue rectangle. Adopted in late 1940, and comprised of infantry battalions from the Scots, Irish and Welsh Guards.
