Indian Army - CLH Calcutta Light Horse Brass Shoulder Title
                        The Calcutta Light Horse was raised in 1872 and formed part of the Cavalry Reserve in the British Indian Army. The regiment was disbanded following India's independence in 1947.  This is very nicely cast with two small original lugs to the reverse.  Of good quality, possibly officers' issue.

                        Circa 22mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked "P & S Firmin, 153 Strand, London" (this mark format was only used between 1835- 1849).  In near mint condition. Stock photo as more than one available and all of equal quality.  This button was worn from 1830 - 1843.  Rare.
