South Africa - Cape Peninsula Rifles (CPR) Gilding Metal Helmet Badge, Pagri Fitting
A dark toned gilding metal example which has been worn but with a slider presumably for wearing on the pagri band on the tropical / sun helmet. Some signs of service wear, some traces of verdigris to reverse otherwise in good worn condition.

Pair, not an exact match (more obvious from the reverse), but facing, in gilding metal, each with two original loops to the reverse (one with verdigris to area around the loops). A thistle spray across the bottom of which a downward scroll bearing ALBA NAM BUADH. Slight colour variation. In very good condition.
