An unusual combination as worn by a W.R.A.C sergeant. White on Beech Brown embroidered shoulder title above the red on khaki embroidered " W " of 53rd Infantry Division above sergeants chevrons all still affixed to the top part of a khaki blouse sleeve. Cold War item. One small hole in centre of blouse material which is visible when held up to the light

WW1 Double Bullion on Khaki Wound Stripe
The award of a wound stripe to a soldier was introduced in July 1916 it entitled the man to wear a two inch Russian gold bullion braid sewn to the left sleeve of a jacket, as this proved very hard to keep clean and shiny solid brass stripes replaced them, this indicates that this example is from early on in the Great War, a double stripe indicates being wounded on two occasions. 4th Royal Irish Dragoon Guards Officers Large Pattern Gilt Button, pre 1904
A scarce Victorian / Edwardian officers button circa 25mm in diameter, shank present and maker marked Stillwell & Son, London. Some minor staining to gilt at 2 o'clock and to the reverse otherwise in very good condition.
This pattern worn 1855 - 1904.

WW2 Royal Air Force ( RAF) Matched Facing Pair of Sergeants Chevrons - stamped 1943
Note the chevrons travel in different directions so facing as well as matched. Each of three chevrons rank insignia embroidered on a canvas material with issue stamps for 1943 to the reverse, one more legible than the other. In very good condition.

WW2 War Raised Cavalry Regiment - 27th Lancers Officers Gilt Brass Shoulder Title
In good condition with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 33mm wide. This is smaller than the other ranks pattern by 2mm in width and better made and of a thicker metal quality. See figure 104 in Hostilities Only by Peter Seaman for confirmation. Westlake No 194 refers but the latter does not differentiate between the OR and Officer patterns.

12th (East Suffolk) Regiment Victorian OR’s glengarry badge circa 1874-81
An original die-stamped brass example, with only minor signs of service wear but the key to the top of the central tower appears to have been professionally re-applied at some point. Star surmounted by Castle and Key; on the star a strap inscribed “Montis insignia calpe. East Suffolk” with “12” to voided centre. Reverse with brass (not copper) loops, north - south.
