WW1 Wound Stripe - Lambourne's Birmingham

Well it certainly has lived up to its claim, after all these years! It is in lovely bright gilt condition. This is exactly 2 inches in length and was authorised for wear by Army Order 249 of August 1916 and this was only issued in this size up to 1922 (discontinued for wear on uniform by Army Order 434 of 1922).

WW1 pair (with original ribbons) correctly impressed to 68799 Gnr. A.H. Currell. R.A. and matching dog tag confirming his religion as Church of England and his unit as Royal Garrison Artillery, plus a Imperial Service Medal in Box of issue named in upright capitals to Albert Henry Currell.
