Solihull Coronation Medal for King George VI
An attractive large pewter medal with small suspension ring for the original thin red, white and blue ribbon. Obverse with attractively modelled conjoined busts of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (the current Queen's mother and father). Revserve has SOLIHULL stamped into it. Good condition but with some tarnishing.

This pattern (note crown) attributed to the 5th (Gateshead) Volunteer Battalion, the Durham Light Infantry. Worn until 1908.
