A good early original image of the London Scottish Rifle Volunteers in their kilts taken at Newhaven Camp in Sussex in 1904. An amusing little ditty of a poem about life of army recruit at Chisledon Camp in Wiltshire printed on one side of a postcard, postally used in July 1916. Almost nothing remains of Chiseldon Camp in Wiltshire today. It was set up in 1914 as a training base for up to 10,000 troops at a time, before they went to the front.

A 1938, 16cm by 12cm sized card booklet, 8 pages plus attractive coloured cover. It was stuck in an album so to avoid damaging it has been cut out with the album page still stuck to the reverse.
