The Green Howards ( Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment) (19th Foot) - 1st Pattern Other Ranks Bi-metal Cap Badge
A most attractive badge, die struck with two original dark toned lugs to the reverse and a number of braising / sweat / expansion holes to the reverse of the A (filled in with solder but there). Some slight twisting to lugs otherwise in very good condition. This pattern worn until circa 1908.

RAChD Jewish Chaplains Blackened Cap Badge, QEII issue
Die cast with two original lugs as opposed to blades. The demand for these badges I suspect was driven more by collectors seeking an example rather than by the small number of Jewish Chaplains / Rabbi’s to be found in the British Army, whose numbers can be counted on less than one hand.
