Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Armfield & Co, Birmingham. Slight tarnish to gilt finish but better in the hand than the photo. In very good condition and rare. Pre 1902.
This regiment's button went against the norm for Mess Waiter Buttons by being a 'closed' back design rather than the more normal open back (livery style) button.
