I have only ever had the medium sized buttons before, this is the first time I have ever handled a large pattern version. Circa 25mm in diameter, floating shank and maker marked JR Gaunt & Son Ltd, London. Some polishing to highpoints and retaining ring to reverse as worn on WW1 uniforms. Rare.

Circa 26mm in diameter, fixed shank, and maker marked J Compton & Sons London. In stunning condition. Circa 1920s -1930s. Scarce.
Incidentally I have seen for sale elsewhere a brass cap badge for the gaolers / jailers with the same central design ( incorporating the flags of all nations in the centre) but mounted on an eight pointed star.

76th Regiment of Foot (2nd Battalion Duke of Wellingtons (West Riding) Regiment) Officers Gilt Large Pattern Button
An coatee early pattern without the rim, circa 20mm in diameter with fixed shank, maker marked Jennens & Co London. Gilt a bit dulled and rubbed but detail very sharp. Roman numerals LXXVI below an elephant with houdah and a laurel spray below, surmounted by a Georgian / Victorian Crown and with the battle houours Hindoustan and Peninsula to either side respectively. Circa 1830 - 1855.

Ripley No 292 refers (but he only has a medium pattern version to illustrate). Worn 1881 - 1894 only. The later pattern dropped the elephant and re-introduced the crown.
