Gloucester - Early Edwardian 1902 Pattern Embroidered Cloth Shoulder Title

Removed from uniform, but otherwise in good condition for age. Worn 1902 - 1907 when they were abolished by the regular army on account of cost and replaced with brass metal titles. This one to the Gloucestershire Regiment. See Jon Mill's wonderful Badges on Battledress for for other similar examples to county regiments to Lincoln and Cheshire (page 4 Vol 1). Rare.

In 1961, the Dorset Yeomanry became the 250th Medium Regiment together with the West Somerset Yeomanry and wore this title from 1961 - 1967. Removed from uniform but in good overall condition with top right corner slightly rounded.
