Removed from cap. A padded bullion wire example with embroidered crown and silver plated metal fouled anchor to centre, on black wool background. Hessian backed with strengthening bar. In good worn condition. Central jewel below crown is blue. They were worn with blue central jewels from 1920 onwards.

Worn in facing pairs, this one with the ship facing to the right. Removed from uniform, a bit grubby and stained with evidence of having some rust marks from a drawing pin at some point and a couple of small pinprick holes. This badge was made by “Calico Printers”.
