White metal die struck cap badge with original slider to reverse. Note the voided Roman numerals. In very good condition Stain to reverse of slider).
The Regiment was raised in December 1940. All six wartime cavalry regiments were disbanded in June 1948.

In tip top bright unissued condition with original slider, strengthening bar to reverse of crown and sweat / braising expansion holes to rear. Die struck with sharp detail and of exceptional quality. This is pattern of manufacture is attributed to JR Gaunt & Sons, but unmarked (the lettering to the reverse of the scroll is the reverse image of the word "Hussars").

A Theatre made cast blackened brass example with two original loops (n-s) to the reverse. Flat topped Victorian crown (similar to DLI Victorian Cap badge), more usually found with a King's Crown, but in either event as worn from 1922 - 1950.
