West Africa - Royal Sierra Leone Regiment Officer's QEII Crowned Gilt Brass Cap / Pagri Badge

A de cast example, loops removed and converted to a pin fitting, possibly for wear on the pagri tropical helmet, or even for wear as a sweetheart brooch or OCA brooch. Gilt finish polished back to the brass from service wear. Circa 4.3cms tall.

Worn from 1961 - 1971 only.

An attractive Victorian sweetheart brooch pin to the 1st Battalion, The Manchester Regiment (formerly 63rd Regiment of Foot, pre 1881).
