WW1 Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) Armoured Car Section Collar / Lapel Badge

A scarce bronzed collar badge with two original loops (slight verdigris to reverse of one loop). As worn by the R.N.A.S. Armoured Car Section during WW1 from 1916 onwards. It depicts an Armoured Car to the centre of a crowned oval. Circa 4.1cm wide and 4.7cm tall. In superb condition for age, with its original bronze patina.

2nd King Edward VIIs Own Gurkha Rifles Regiment Regimental Flash Designation For Wear on the Gurkha Hat

Worn circa 1900 - 1944, and again by all ranks from 1946 - 1961 on the Gurkha hat. Worn in opposite ways by the 1st and 2nd battalions Each square is circa 12mm tall and 15mm wide. Minor edge wear and glue to reverse as removed from hat.

Most probably intended for use as the bullion ornament for embellishing a review order officer's dress pouch. Similar in design to that depicted in Ashok Nath's "Sowars and Sepoys in the Great War 1914-1918 for the Governor General's Body Guard (Fig 2).
