The helmet plate backing is a standard 8 pointed star made of gilding metal with a laurel wreath surmounted by a King's Crown, with more looking modern loops than pre 1914 examples. Issue number 39722 on both the box and impressed on the back of the badge, which is in near mint condition, comes with small folding honorary membership card issued to an A.L. Ford, admitted to the Legion on 30 September 1934. Name of Branch 'Hurst' and located in Winnersh (Wokingham, Berkshire). Wear to box and internal folds of membership card. Came together.
