WW1 South African Mercantile Marine Medal Pair issued to Woodward - very scarce
Pair of medals correctly impressed to C.H. Woodward, as follows:
a) British War Medal, 1914 - 1918
b) Mercantile Marine War Medal, 1914 - 1918.
Both medals are impressed with just his initials and surname, apparently this was the fashion in which medals to South African recipients were named. These medals are scarce.

A very rare embroidered gold bullion on black felt, with original manufacturer's label still attached to the reverse! This reads: "Stephen Simpson, Gold and Silver lace manufacturer and embroiderer, Avenham Road Works, Preston". 7.5cm x 2.5cm.
