4th ( Uganda ) King's African Rifles ( KAR ) Officer's Silver Pagri Cap Badge - Maker marked Dobbies
A rare officer's solid silver cap badge (stamped silver) with original pin fitting for wear on the pagri. Also has a small loop fitted for a safety chain, no longer present. Maker marked Dobbies Ltd on the reverse. See Renfrew et al, Vol 1, page 97 for a photograph of an officer wearing this pattern in his cap. Circa 4.3cm tall.

An unusal die cast post 1927 white metal example, looks to have been silver plated. Two original long loops to the reverse. Circa 3cm tall. Not much detail on the battle honours through wear but also because of the lack of definition from being cast. Scarce.
