WW2 Grenadier Guards Sergeants & Musicians Cap Badge - George VI Cypher

A very pleasing gilt brass die struck example with strengthening bar to neck of grenade and two original loops to the reverse and the GR VI Royal Cypher reversed and interlaced struck on the ball. Detail is sharp with no polishing, retaining its original gilt finish. Sealed 23rd March 1941. Worn until circa 1954.

A silver bullion and silver wire embroidered example. Black paper backing to the reverse intact. In good overall worn condition with the exception of damage to the felt insert in the centre of the coronet (see photos). This pattern was worn from 1902. Circa 5.8cms tall including the green felt backing. A scarce badge despite the damage.
