Removed from uniform and in worn condition with cellotape with unit identification to reverse. Sky looks dark blue to me not black! Worn from 1944 until 1948 only. Crossed beams of searchlights over a torch of learning.

Came together and of equal quality. Both in good condition with functional pins and protected with a plastic wrap to keep the ribbon silks in good condition.
The Italy Star was awarded for operational service in specified Mediterranean locations. The core eligibility period spanned from June 11, 1943 (capture of Pantellaria) to May 8, 1945 (VE Day).
